The large steam locomotive can be seen in the foreground at center and is towing several cars behind it. Two men stand on a boxcar close behind the engine of the train. The high trestle stretches for a long distance and is visible in several locations in the background. The hilly landscape is dotted with small trees. Photoprint reads: "A.P.- P. Ry. -- Arizona -- Now S.P.R.R. [Santa Fe, Prescott, and Phoenix R.R. ca.1892-1896".
