In the foreground, a dirt road covers the area and extends straight into the center background it shows horse carriages and people along its sidewalks. A row of buildings and electric poles is visible in both sides of the road. Awnings are visible at the entrance of most of the buildings most of them have individual signs that read: "[P]endleton Business College", "[?] Clothing Co.", "The Mint Weinhardt's Beer", "French Restaurant Rooms", "Hotel St Georg[e]", "Furniture Carpets Bedding", and other illegible signboards. Houses on a hill serve as the backdrop.
