Description
San Fernando Valley State College is now California State University, Northridge.
Photograph dated May 23, 1964 reads, "Granada Hills High School nearly pulled out a close West Valley finals victory with their fine 1:33.8 win in the 200-yard freestyle race pictured here Friday night at Valley State College. The victory, nearly three full seconds below the meet record, gave the Highlanders 12 points, still two short of overcoming Birmingham's winning total of 67."
