Description: Street dancing at Santa Catalina is a feature of Los Posadas, when the dances of old Spain are danced in costume. In this photo, around the fountain the visitors and townfolk of Avalon dance in the gay spirit of Christmas as the festival continues. Many society folk are sailing over to the island to join in the fete which lasts till New Year's. Photo dated: December 21, 1940.
