Description
Photograph of a model of the ship used in the film "The Black Pirate" in the forecourt of Grauman's Egyptian Theater, Hollywood, ca.1925. A highly-detailed minature ship is shown in the courtyard in front of the theater's entrance, just to the left of center. Its sails are emblazoned with a number of emblems, including an anchor, crown, german cross and an "x". To the right, interested patrons stand by one of the several signs that advertise the movie and its stars, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks.
