William Doheny was the grandson of Edward L. Doheny.
Photograph caption dated October 28, 1954 reads "William Doheny of the pioneer oil family displays the 208S Italian Sciata ordered at cost of $10,000 for use in Mexican road race. It also is scheduled to be shown at fifth annual International Motor Revue and Motorama Exposition in Pan-Pacific Nov. 5-14 as part of California Sports Car Club display." Doheny is shown in the driver's seat with the door open.
