In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 276 bottom.
This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
"6th St." written on photo. Text written under photo: "Howard and Sixth Street 1910." View looks north at the corner, occupied by a two-story building. This structure contains a restaurant, Central Shoe & Repairing Co., J. Kingston & Co., and John N. Pignaz Cigars. The five-story Hulse-Bradford Co. is next door to the east. To the left, Eiler's Music Store on Mission Street can be seen. Not enough of other signs can be seen to determine full company names, although one sign announces that it's only 3 blocks to the Emporium. In the right distance, the year "1915" atop the Humboldt Savings Bank may indicate that the photo was taken two or so years later than claimed.
