Shades of L.A. is an archive of photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Title supplied by cataloger.; Image is a reproduction. Agrippa O. Ezozo immigrated alone to Los Angeles in 1981 from Nigeria, where he was born in 1957. He received a B.A. from Cal State Dominguez Hills and an M.A. from UCLA. He became a benefits analyst at UCLA and served as publisher of the Black Church Review Magazine and the African Diaspora Foundation. He and his wife Wanda had two children. Ezozo Agrippa, center, and coworkers are dressed in Halloween costumes at the payroll office in Murphy Hall at the UCLA campus.
