Peter Drucker writes Mrs. Kidd thanking her for the draft on the teacher. He informs her that he would like to have his old telephone number installed back into his old house and that the Druckers will maintain the answering service over the summer and then discontinue it altogether. Drucker shares that he has just promised Harper's Magazine a new piece on the politics and economics of the environment, and that he will be receiving an honorary doctorate from Temple University. He goes on to say that the people at the Graduate School of Business at New York University refuse to accept his resignation, and want to work something out that will enable Drucker to get back if and when he wants to. In addition, Drucker asks that Kidd phone him when she receives the tape of chapter 6 of "Practice." In the postscript, he discusses where he would like his telephone placed, and other matters involved with his New Jersey home. The letter contains Drucker's original handwriting and signature. The letter also contains notations by a second hand.
