Horses pull wagon loaded with lumber. People can be seen sitting on the wagon as well. Donor/Sources: Helen Herrick. On back: "Mounted on left wheel hourse; Ellis Dewitt Herrick, born 5 march 1865 oregon. His wife and children are atop the load of lumber. His parents were Curtis Herrick and Hannah Holdcroft Herrick. Wife was Catherine Copeland Herrick. Her parents were Coit Livingston Herrick and Helen Maria Bartlett Herrick." Other sources (Hitchcock, Lingenfelter) say his wife was Jane Frannie Crozier, born 1875 Ellis Dewitt Herrick was a Manton rancher, 1898. Carpenter 1910. bh
