On the sign written in Afrikaans and with capital letters: "74 VOET BOVEN ZEESPIEGEL" ("74 feet above sea level"), "MORAVIA", "98 1/2 MIJLEN NAAR KAAPSTAD" ("98 1/2 miles to Cape Town"). In the backgound are trees. Written on the card board: "22.2.34. P. Theile."
