One of five people injured today in the crash of a truck-trailer at Los Palos street and East Olympic Boulevard is Irene Pardo, 10, who was admitted with a skull fracture, who is pictured with Nurse Helen Talinachoff. Note: Other victims included Mrs. Librada Traslavina, 43, her daughter Alicia, 11, son Arturo, 5, and family friend Mauro Baltherra, 45, who were killed when they were struck by Edward L. Gannon's 70,000-pound truck in the East Los Angeles crosswalk. Gannon was arrested 6 hours after the accident and was eventually arraigned on four counts of manslaughter and one count of hit and run for leaving the scene without rendering aid or assistance.
