Falling snags along the south boundary of Timber Berth "W", in Coast range of British Columbia. All of the snags rising above the cover of the average trees left were felled on a strip approximately ten chains wide from the coundary of the tract. The logging slashing in which these were located lies at the foot of the slope on which the larger tract is located. If a fire should start in this slashing the main source of danger would be the standing dead trees. With them out of the way it is usually possible to corral the fire before it does very much damage
