Description
The Memorial Infirmary, located north of Foothill Boulevard, shortly after its completion. Three automobiles are parked in front of the building. The photograph was taken looking north toward the San Gabriel Mountains.The infirmary was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram T. Cleaver in honor of Colonel Seeley W. Mudd. In 1952, Baxter Medical Building was dedicated and served as another medical facility for the Claremont Colleges. Use of Memorial Infirmary was discontinued in 1975 and Baxter then became the primary medical facility for the Claremont Colleges.
