Aerial view on the Anse Vata, New Caledonia
The star shaped building was the 'Pentagone', headquarters of American troops during the battle of Pacific (became the Center of the South Pacific Commission). On the left, the French Institute for Oceania and on the right, Leenhardt's house in 1948.
Comment : Photograph taken during the journey of the chairman of the PEMS (Paris evangelical missionary society), Marc Boegner in New Caledonia.
