Description
This 1931 photograph shows members of the Detroit Tigers baseball club playing "pepper." The Tigers spent 12 days at Sacramento's Moreing Field in February 1931, conducting drills for spring training. They then moved to Woodland to play two exhibition games against the Seattle Indians. Moreing Field was located at Y Street and Riverside Boulevard.
