Photograph of the manse at Lucea which sat on a knoll overlooking the town. The house is a wooden single storey building with a veranda to the front. The room to the right of the building is the room where the missionaries carried out their work offering advice or help to visitors. Prior to becoming a Manse the house was an estate house. It was in Lucea in 1827 that the Scottish Missionary Society established its second station in Jamaica.
