Description
A black and white photo of a young girl with her dog. Inscription on the back (in pencil) reads "12 yrs--" The girl is wearing a light colored, below the knee length, long sleeved dress that has a low waistline. The bodice of the dress is pleated in wide box pleats from shoulder to shoulder across the front, with a wide lace (?) yoke that comes to a slight point at center front and has a medium-high, tightly-fitted, neckline. The girl has her dark hair parted in the middle and pulled back, and the ends of two light-colored ribbon bows are visible behind her ears. The girl is also wearing a circular locket or pendant on a chain necklace around her neck. Her stockings and shoes are dark or black, and her shoes are barely visible as high-tops that lace over the ankle. The dog is a medium-sized dog, with a white head, shoulders and forelegs, and dark body and patches on the ears. The dog's head is turned toward the camera and the dog's body and head are very clear. The girl and dog are standing on a narrow board of some kind, over a gravel walkway, in front of some dark ivy on a wall, or other shrubbery.
