Description
Photograph of an aerial view of downtown Los Angeles looking north, 1930-1939. The tall buildings of downtown can be seen in the foreground at left, and the City Hall building is at center. Most of the buildings downtown are tall, rectangular buildings, while those in the surrounding areas are much lower. Several wide, crooked streets are visible cutting through the buildings. In the distance at center is Chavez Ravine, later the site of Dodger Stadium.
