Preparation of a traditional meal : bougna
A woman in front of a banana tree leaf on which are ingredients of Bougna.
Comment : Bougna is a traditional feast dish of the Kanak people of New Caledonia, composed of yams and taros soaked with coconut juice, meat and wrapped in banana tree leaves. This word comes from the Drehu word "puhnya" meaning "bundle", "pack".
