The sign at the station says "Pacific Electric ticket office" and there is a sign on the building that says "Trolley Cafe." The sign across the top of the streetcar says "Santa Monica." "1952 Pacific Electric at Santa Monica station"--text, handwritten in pencil on housing. Title and date devised by cataloger based on notes on housing. The Pacific Electric Railway system of electric streetcars and rail was also known as the Red Car system.
