Photograph caption dated August 29, 1950 reads, "Brushfire rages down brush-covered hill-slopes to the edge of a peach and apple orchard in the Munz Lake area near Lake Hughes, where 100 U. S. Forest Service and County fire fighters brought it under control after four-hour fight."
