The Portland Assembly Center was formerly known as the North Portland International Livestock Exposition Center. Caption on album page:
"An important phase of the administrative facilities at each assembly center was the information unit, staffed by evacuees under Caucasian direction, where information of all types was available, as well as interpreters if needed. Photo shows the information section at Portland (Oregon) Assembly Center."
