Description
Pat Boone sings "A Mighty Fortress is our God" from the head table with the choir in the background. Seated to his left are M. Norvel Young, William Pereira, Frances Scaife, Nancy Reagan, and Governor Ronald Reagan. The event was the "Birth of a College" dinner at which plans for Pepperdine University's Malibu campus were revealed and Governor Reagan gave a speech. The event took place at the Century Plaza Hotel with an overflow audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 9, 1970.
