Description
Genevieve Didion, in her role as the chair of the Native Sons and Daughters of the Golden West, recognizes ‘founders’ of the city with a camellia grove tree-planting ceremony at Capitol Park on March 8, 1942. At the time, Didion also was an appointed member of the Sacramento City Board of Education.
