Description
"Strand an einer Bucht des Nyassa-Sees, wo die verlassene Station der Schotten 'Livingstonia' liegt. 1894." Beach at a bay of Lake Nyasa, where the abandoned mission station 'Livingstonia' is situated. 1894."). A group of African people on the beach, mountains in the background. Imprinted on the image: "Strand bei Livingstonia. Ostafrika. No. 463." ("Beach near Livingstonia. East Africa. No. 463").
Photo is very yellowed. -- It is remarked on the passe-partout that the bay is situated near the Scottish mission Livingstonia which was abandoned at that time.
