Photograph shows The picture of the students of the Elkhorn School. School shows Charles, Eldon, Robert and Ray Azeuedo, Floyd and Virgil Rannells, and Henry Flouruoy. They are saluting the flag in the old style. I pledge allegiance.. (right hand over the heart)..to the flag.. (extending the arm toward the flag). If one looks at the picture closely, he can see the out-houses, the girls at one corner of the lot and the boys at the other. Elkhorn Schoolhouse was near the present northeast corner of Black Butte Reservoir - about a mile to the north of the dam on Stony Creek.
