Their bodies are covered in mud. In the background a dense forest. Today Kandete is a village in Rungwe District. -- Ernst Waldner (1898-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa. He married Julie Friederike Ebinger.
