Photograph of a view of the fallen stack of a garbage incinerator, showing a refugee camp in the foreground, San Francisco, 1906. Tracks lie across the foreground while the refugee camp stands on the left. Surrounding the tents and wooden shacks of the camp are the National Ice Company Cold Storage and the Rainier Beer Stable. Electrical lines which stand in front of these buildings lead to the other factories which continue into the distance on the right.
