Description
Jane Heller discusses her novel, “An Ex to Grind.” She begins by explaining that the book is about a woman who is going through a divorce with her unemployed husband, and she has to pay him alimony. Her idea to get out of the payments is to hire a dating matchmaker for her husband and make sure that he is living with someone for 90 days so her alimony payments can stop. She introduces her characters and gives background information on their lives and motivations. Heller says the inspiration for her novel was seeing too many powerful women with lazy husbands and females having to pay alimony. She ends the interview with an anecdote about taking too many sedatives before appearing on The Today Show.
