Deacon Tove Viftrup and Deacon/Nurse Iver Viftrup were sent by DSM to Bangladesh, 1972-84. The Diakon Tove Viftrup og diakon/sygeplejerske Iver Viftrup var udsendt af DSM til Bangladesh, 1972-1984. Familien begyndte i Chapai Nawabganj, hvor Iver Viftrup bl.a. var engageret i opbygningsarbejde efter borgerkrigen. I 1977 var han med til at grundlægge spedalskhedsarbejdet DBLM i Nilphamari, Og de følgende år blev dette arbejde – med fokus på forebyggelse og rehabilitering - fortsat udviklet og udbygget under hans ledelse og Toves medvirken. De sidste par år af deres tjeneste var de tilbage i Chapai Nawabganj

Deacon Tove Viftrup and Deacon/Nurse Iver Viftrup were sent by DSM to Bangladesh, 1972-84. The family started in Chapai Nawabganj, where Iver Viftrup was working with reconstruction activities following the Civil War. In 1977 Iver Viftrup was involved in founding of the leprosy work DBLM in Nilphamari, and the following years this work – focusing on prevention and rehabilitation - expanded and developed under his leadership and assistance from Tove. The last 2-3 years of their service they were back in Chapai Nawabganj.
