Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 20, 1953 reads "Prowler there now. Officer R. L. Burns broadcasts 'hot' call to radio car 9A34 informing unit officers that a prowler has been seen at the rear of a certain address in Van Nuys. Time of such call, unit to which assigned, and other facts concerning its handling are recorded by both broadcaster and receiver." Valley Police headquarters was located at 6240 Tyrone Avenue, Van Nuys.
