Description: "Seminaristen mit Br. Aug. Seibt" ("Seminarists with br[other] Aug[ust] Seibt"). Brother Seibt in the centre of the group. Around him the 22 African seminarists. All of them except for one are dressed in white kanzus, some are wearing a hat.
August Seibt (1875-1943) was a teacher and a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. He served in Unyamwezi (1904-1916) and Usoke (1930-1937). In 1905 he married Frieda Scholz. They returned to Germany in 1937.
