Description
"Indian Marcello 6 1/2 feet tall who lived 130 years and with 200 Indians in 1799 planted willows on the Alameda under the direction of Father Magin de Catala. Marcello was Chief of Ulstack (sic) Indians. Always carried his big stick even into Church." From page p.20A, Blanchard album.
