Description
Agriculture still occupies most of the grid that later became South Gate. Photo caption reads: "There was lots of empty space in South Gate when this aerial photo was made in the early 1920s, but today the city is bursting at the seams. Long Beach Boulevard cuts diagonally across the picture". Photo printed: July 9, 1961.
