Miscellaneous court records from a variety of northern California and Mother Lode Justice Courts for the period 1854-1906, including some state and federal land offices, including mining claims and land claims of various types, some partially missing, and many only in fragments. Notarized papers from Northern and Mother Lode Counties, including Butte, El Dorado, Humboldt, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Tehama, Tuolumne and Yuba counties. Types of notarized papers include citizenship papers, mining claims, land claims, including proof of publication, homesteads, pre-emption notices, and abandonments of pre-emption claims. State and federal notarized documents, include samples from the Department of the Interior, General Land Office, Office of the Surveyor General, and State of California, Department of State.
