Drucker interviews Sister Carmella O’Donoghue in his audio book, “The Nonprofit Drucker.” This tape is part of the series, “Performance and Results.” Drucker begins by introducing Sister O’Donoghue as the CEO of one of the largest non-profit hospitals in the country, which accrues over 1 billion dollars in revenue yearly. She advises that institutions work to develop their performance, mission, quality, service, standards, and financial results. She talks about her own experience as CEO, but states that she often travels to other branches of her hospitals and works in many different departments. Sister O’Donoghue discusses what happens when a hospital needs to abandon certain services. She talks about what good can come from service institutions working together, such as hospitals and universities.
