Description
Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989
How gritty was defensive end Jack Youngblood? In 1980, during the Rams' playoff run, Youngblood broke his left leg. He played through the pain for more than two games, including the L.A. Rams' only Super Bowl appearance. After his retirement, the sackmaster who replaced Deacon Jones ended up in the Hall of Fame. Photo dated: November 21, 1983.
