Title supplied by cataloger. This Chevrolet assembly plant opened in 1947 and produced the Chevrolet Corvair, Chevrolet Nova, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet full-size models and the Pontiac Firebird. The plant was closed in 1992 after the production of Camaro and Firebird vehicles was moved to Sainte-The´re`se Assembly in Quebec. In 1998, the facility was razed and replaced with a large retail and industrial complex, known as The Plant. GM continues to operate a car-testing facility nearby. Photograph caption dated October 30, 1964 reads, "Rolling Again - Workers at General Motors' Chevrolet plant in Van Nuys were back to work for second day today after the 34-day strike that closed the plant."
