The flyer reads, "Confirming President Hoover's proclamation to the American people commemorating the 100th anniversary of the pioneers who journeyed west from St. Louis, Mo. April 10th to December 19th, 1830 arriving at their destination Oregon and California--to their memory. This picture in colors thirty four feet long by twleve feet wide, for your inspection and edification, has been reproduced in a terrazzo sidewalk and which consists of twenty seven colors of imported italian marble and is seventy seven feet long over all in front of Pioneer Public Market 1436-1447 Third Street Santa Monica."
