Description
Duane Lowe, Sacramento County Sheriff, 1971-1983; chief of California State Police and then (after merger with CHP) Deputy Chief of California Highway Patrol, through 1996. Caption: Sheriff Duane Lowe unveiled an honor wall today in the lobby of his office at 7th and H Streets which he dedicated in memory of Sacramento County deputy sheriffs killed in the line of duty. The words "In Occisorum Memoriam"--in memory of those who died with honor--have been placed on the wall above memorials of officers killed in pursuit of duty.
