"Cromwell, Westervelt & Hammerton, Mgrs. P.O. Box 832"--text, printed on front of card. "G.A. Mensch, Photographer P.O. Box 832, Los Angeles City Cal."--text, stamped on verso. "with glass and a cheap frame"--text, handwritten in pencil on verso. Cromwell, Westervelt and Hammerton, proprietors of "Great Eastern Photographic and Advertising Co." are found in Los Angeles city directory 1888, but are listed as "Cromwell & Westervelt" by 1890. Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on history of photography firm. Related item appears to be the same location from a different angle.
