Description
Photograph of a transformer bank on the Long Beach Steam Station, ca.1929. Seven large metallic machines sit along a wall on the outside of a building. The three machines on the right have cylindrical objects on top of them while the four on the left have conical devices on top. A wire extends out of each device and connects with a wire above. The machines are composed of rounded bases with panes of metal attached to the exterior. A man can be seen standing on a platform in front of the machines to the left of center. A sidewalk lined with rows of neat rocks sits in front of the machines.
