After the 1940's Broadway was straightened and the curve here eliminated. Looking south on Broadway from 9th Street towards 10th Street. At that time Broadway curved to the right and Broadway Place crossed it. A small island in the middle of the street shows where they crossed. On the right is the Western Pacific Bldg. and farther down on the right the Chamber of Commerce building.
