Photograph caption dated February 12, 1959 reads, "Freed Widow Faces Questions _ Mrs. Gemma Caruana, talks to reporters in Van Nuys Municipal Court shortly before Municipal Judge Francis A. Cochran dismissed murder complaint against her. Although she won her freedom, Mrs. Caruana said "I still feel like a loser -I lost my husband.""
