Photograph caption dated October 6, 1985 reads, "paramedics rush injured RTD driver to an ambulance after his bus slammed into a lamp standard in effort to avoid van that turned in front of him. Investigators said 44 people ranging in age from 11 to 85 suffered minor injuries in the crash that occurred Friday at 46th and Figueroa streets south of downtown. No one was immediately cited or arrested."
