Description
This is a photograph of Fr. Manning with young children at a school. The photo was taken from over head and the children are looking up. Fr, Manning is dressed casually.
Rev. Manning was born in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY. He entered The Venard, Maryknoll's Apostolic College, in 1926, and was ordained in 1938. He was assigned to Fushun, Manchuria that year and in 1942, following arrest and internment, was repatriated aboard the Swedish repatriation ship Gripsholm. He remained in the U.S. thereafter.
