The "Diving Bell" rises out of its tank of water at The Pike amusement park south of Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach. A derrick supports the submergible as it is pulled up out of the water. Spectators wait and watch at the wall surrounding the ride.; The Pike was in opertaion from 1902 until 1979.
