Photograph was edited for publication purposes The name of the library was changed from North Hollywood Sidney Lanier Regional Branch to North Hollywood Amelia M. Earhart Regional Branch in 1980. First photograph caption dated September 29, 1952 reads "Sidney Lanier Library is the hub around which circle the eight other Valley branches of Los Angeles Public Library. Located in North Hollywood Park, it is one of the most beautiful library buildings in the city."; Second photograph caption dated May 28, 1956 reads "Home of books. Located in beautiful North Hollywood Park, the North Hollywood library, the largest branch library in the nation, circulates more than 40,000 volumes a month.
