Description
Black and white photograph showing a group of local tribal chiefs and nurses at the dedication of a chapel at the general hospital at Ituk Mbam in southeast Nigeria run by the Methodist Missionary Society. The chiefs sit in the front row of the group, and Nigerian hospital staff stand behind them. Two European missionaries can also be seen in the group. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, also in southeast Nigeria and also run by the Methodist Missionary Society.
